Media Communications Laboratory (MCL) was founded by Prof. Chang-Su Kim in 2005, and it is now composed of 8 Ph.D. students and 3 master students. Our research interests lie in image, video, and graphics data processing. In addition to these areas, we have recently broadened our research topics to the processing of emerging multimedia signals and the development of computer vision techniques, such as multi-view video processing, correspondence matching, object tracking, saliency detection, retargeting, dehazing, deraining, and perceptual segmentation. We collaborate closely with leading consumer electronics companies, such as Samsung and LG. MCL has produced 5 Ph.D. and 7 master degrees, and the alumni are actively working in various companies and schools, including Pennsylvania State University (United States), INRIA (France), Samsung (Korea), LG (Brazil), LG (Korea).
