Prof. Takayuki Hamamoto received the B.E. and the M.E. degrees in electrical engineering from Tokyo University of Science, in 1992, 1994 and the Dr. E. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tokyo, in 1997. Currently, he is a Professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Tokyo University of Science.

His current research interests are in the areas of image processing and image sensing.

He received the 1997 Suzuki Memorial Award, the 2002 Best Paper Award from the ITE Japan, and many best paper awards of international and domestic conferences.

He served as the Editor of Journal of ITE Japan, the Editor of IEICE Trans. and many committee members of international and domestic conferences.


Lab Introduction

The members of our laboratory are dedicated to studying software and/or hardware approach to develop various image-based systems and applications, such as imaging device, 3D imaging and processing, real time processing using FPGAs, security system, image retrieval and identification, image recognition and so on.
