Prof. Li-Wei Kang
Li-Wei Kang received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees all from the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Chung Cheng University, Chiayi, Taiwan, in June 1997, July 1999, and Jan. 2005, respectively. Since Feb. 2013, he has joined the Graduate School of Engineering Science and Technology, and Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Douliu, Taiwan, as an Assistant Professor. From Aug. 2010 to Jan. 2013, he joined the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan, as an Assistant Research Scholar. His research interests include multimedia content analysis and multimedia communications. Dr. Kang served as an Editorial Board Member of International J. of Distributed Sensor Networks since Nov. 2013, an Editorial Advisory Board Member for the book-Visual Information Processing in Wireless Sensor Networks: Technology, Trends and Applications, IGI Global, 2011, a co-organizer/co-chair of many special sessions, and a reviewer/TPC member of several international conferences and journals. He won the Top 10% Paper Award presented by 2013 IEEE Int. Workshop on Multimedia Signal Processing. He is a Member of IEEE.
