Dr. Yu-Chiang Frank Wang.
Dr. Wang received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 2001. From 2001 to 2002, he worked as a research assistant at the National Health Research Institutes, Taiwan. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA, in 2004 and 2009, respectively.
Dr. Wang joined the Research Center for Information Technology Innovation (CITI) of Academia Sinica, Taiwan, in 2009, where he currently holds the position as a tenure-track Associate Research Fellow. He leads the Multimedia and Machine Learning Lab at CITI, and works in the fields of computer vision, pattern recognition, machine learning, and image processing. Dr. Wang serves as an organizing or program committee member at multiple international conferences or activities, and several of his papers were nominated for the Best Paper Awards at related conferences. In 2013, Dr. Wang is selected as the Outstanding Young Researcher by NSC of Taiwan.
