Lab Director (or Principal Investigator)

Z. Jane Wang received the B.Sc. degree from Tsinghua University, in 1996, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Connecticut, in 2002. She joined the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, University of British Columbia, in 2004, where she is an Associate Professor. Her research interests are in statistical signal processing theory and applications. Dr. Wang is a corecipient of the EURASIP Best Paper Award 2004 and the IEEE Signal Processing Society Best Paper Award 2005. She has been an Associate Editor for several IEEE journals.


Lab Introduction

Our research interests are in the broad areas of statistical signal processing theory and applications, with focus on detection theory and applications to information security, biomedical signal processing and modeling, wireless communications and genomic signal processing and statistics.
